Job Introduction

We are looking for a researcher who thrives on coming up with new ideas, creativity and a passion for delivery amazing content to our younger audience.  This researcher will join our children’s team in Pacific Quay producing short form content for CBBC ALBA and CBeebies ALBA including studio links, Stòiridh and An Rud as Fheàrr Leam which is broadcast daily on BBC ALBA between 1700 and 1900.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing ideas, researching content strands, sourcing contributors as well as working with onscreen talent  and contribute to the development of scripts.  You will work closely with the  production team to deliver programmes of the highest quality and will demonstrate meticulous planning and organisational skills.

Are you the right candidate?

The one essential attribute you must have is a fluency in spoken and written Gaelic.

Ideally you will have proven experience of working on entertaining studio and location content and be able to work across the production process from development to delivery.

We are looking for someone with have a good knowledge and understanding of the Gaelic children’s audience and an awareness of children’s output produced by the BBC and other broadcasters.

You should also have a knowledge of and an interest in contemporary culture and entertainment particularly relevant to children.
