Eòrpa, BBC Alba’s long-running and award-winning Gaelic-language  European current affairs series, is looking for a researcher to join the team  for its 29th series.

Main Responsibilities

This role involves originating  and researching compelling story ideas and writing clear, concise and  accurate briefs for the team.  Liaising with the producer, director, reporter, and production management team, the researcher will also set up location filming, and arrange key interviews and filming locations to often tight schedules.The role also requires working closely with local fixers for European filming,

Are you the right candidate?

The ideal candidate will demonstrate an interest in, and knowledge of, Scottish and European current affairs, coupled with the ability to identify strong and relevant story ideas.  They will preferably have experience of working in a broadcasting environment and be an effective and enthusiastic team member. Fluency in Gaelic is essential.
