BBC Radio nan Gaidheal brings a variety of programmes to the heartland Gaelic audience as well as learners and those interested in the language and culture. We are looking for a friendly, efficient person with excellent communication skills to become the first point of contact for many listeners, visitors and staff.
The successful candidate will answer telephones and greet guests and all other callers / visitors to the premises. You will manage mail, prepare and send correspondence using appropriate means to complete processes in an accurate and timely fashion. You must ensure that the front of house area is kept presentable; ensuring relevant and current information is displayed as well as assist with booking travel and meeting rooms, ordering supplies etc as and when required.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate must be fluent in Gàidhlig and should be comfortable speaking, writing and reading. You should have experience dealing with the general public and be used to dealing with people and issues by phone and via email. You should be an organised person with the ability to use your own initiative under pressure.
