Salary: £22,956 – £26,919 per year (pro rata for sessional working)
Hours: 36 hours per week, 39 weeks per year

This is an exciting new position where the successful candidate will work in Primary 1 in a play based learning environment and assist with the transition of pupils from nursery into P1.

Bun-sgoil Taobh na Pàirce is Edinburgh’s Gaelic Medium Primary School; a vibrant, multicultural community with 400 children in the school, and a nursery class of 40. We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Early Years Practitioner to join our staff team. The successful applicant must demonstrate competence in speaking the Gaelic language.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by the City of Edinburgh Council.

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.  For roles in grade 5 or above, annual increments in our contribution zones are dependent on achieving agreed performance goals.
