The postholder will work towards an HNC in Childhood Practice – achievability 2 years.
You will develop skills to support the inclusion, attainment and achievement of vulnerable children and young people in school, home and community settings through direct work with children and young people, their families, and other support staff, as part of an Integrated Children’s Services approach.
The post will be at various schools in Uist.
You must have minimum qualifications (achieved by 12 August 2019) which would enable entry to an HNC Childhood Practice qualification as follows:
2 x Scottish Highers at grade C or 1 x A Level at grade D.
4 x National 5s or Standard Grades at Credit level, or equivalent.
(One of the above qualifications must be English).
NC Early Education and Childcare, SVQ Level 3 Social Services (Children and Young People) or equivalent or the completion of a Foundation Apprenticeship Social Services (Children and Young People).
Fluency in Gaelic and a full driving licence are essential.
Salary for the above post is inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance.
