Giglets Education are looking for an enthusiastic Modern Apprentice to join its Gaelic Medium Education National Standardised Assessments team.
Ideally with experience in a customer service role, you will provide customer sensitive, responsive support, fault resolution and advice service. You will respond to incidents and service requests sent through various routes including telephone and email.
You must have a positive approach to learning and use your own initiative to complete tasks. You must be punctual, patient, reliable, trustworthy, and have good time management skills
PLEASE NOTE *The apprentice will be based from Kilmarnock. However, there is also a satellite office in Cambuslang and depending upon experience Working from Home Opportunities will be considered and available to the candidate. Therefore if you are based on Stornaway for example then please do still apply. We’re interested in you, not where you live.*
Candidate must be able to work flexibly as working at Giglets is not always a Monday to Friday, 9 to 5, job.
MUST be able to write and speak fluent Gaelic.
What might a typical day in this job look like?
* Offering advice to end users and customers on all areas of IT, troubleshooting and ensuring desk standards are met
* Actively troubleshoot to identify, assess, record, resolve and/or escalate incidents and service requests ensuring they are handled within an agreed time limit, within agreed processes and in a professional and customer sensitive manner
* Help to implement and improve processes and procedures within the team allowing strong service focused deliverables
* To improve users confidence in the use of assessment software, being empathetic to a variety of learners needs
*Dealing with customer enquiries
*Book travel and accommodation

What qualification or qualities are required?
The ideal candidate will be able to speak and write fluent Gaelic, have knowledge of IT and Microsoft software packages, have excellent communication skills, a professional attitude and a good telephone manner.
The candidate will have a minimum of four National 5’s or Standard Grades (levels 1-3).
