Argyll and Bute Council are looking to recruit a Gaelic ELC Apprentice at Tiree Primary Pre Five Unit.

This position will provide an opportunity to learn on the job whilst gaining key transferable skills and a qualification which is essential to work within the sector as a practitioner, SVQ3 Social Services (Children and Young People) at SCQF Level 7.

If you are aged 16 to 24 (or aged 16 – 29 if either Care Experienced or Disabled*), and have an interest in Early Learning and Childcare, good communication skills, enthusiastic, willing to learn and have 3 National 5 qualifications or equivalent then we want to hear from you.

*Care Experienced – A young person who currently is or was looked after by a local authority, in the family home (with support from social services or a social worker) or elsewhere, for example, in foster care, residential/secure care, or kinship care (with family friends or relatives).

As per the contract terms from Skills Development Scotland, apprenticeship funding is available up to the age of 29 if a young person is care experienced or disabled.
