The BBC Gàidhlig Children’s team is looking to recruit a Runner to work across the production of content for CBBC and CBeebies on BBC ALBA.

The Production Runner is one of the most important members of the production team, performing important tasks in the office and around the set. Duties may involve anything from office administration to sourcing and managing props and supporting presenters and directors on the studio floor.

Main Responsibilities

In the production office duties typically include: acting as a point of contact for a range of both internal and external callers and visitors ensuring that these are given a positive image of the BBC and the department, filing paperwork and data entry, photocopying, general office administration, and distributing production paperwork.  You will be required to work with the studio directors in the sourcing and managing of props and support the running of the studio, and helping to keep the set clean and tidy.  Filming in studio takes place 3 days each week.  You may also be required to contribute to the safe, smooth and efficient running of the production office, referring any actual or potential problems to the appropriate person.

Are you the right candidate?

We’re looking for someone who has a proven interest and experience of working on children’s content. Fluency in Gaelic is essential for this role and a current driving licence is a bonus.
