National Library of Scotland

What we are looking for –

We are looking for someone with excellent Scottish Gaelic language skills and knowledge of Gaelic heritage and culture to join our Published Collections team. You will work with colleagues and with our incredible collections to support research and widen public engagement with Gaelic culture, working across the centuries from our earliest Scottish Gaelic texts to current publications. This permanent full-time post is a fantastic opportunity to work with an internationally significant collection, bringing historic and current Gaelic texts to brand new audiences and uncovering new stories and connections for readers and researchers to explore.

What we can offer you –

If you are successful, you will be working for one of Scotland’s premier cultural institutions, a library that holds the nation’s memory in its vast collections. You’ll have the opportunity to work flexibly, where the service allows, and we’ll provide you with training and development opportunities. We have generous annual leave and offer a pension scheme. And of course, you’ll join a team of great colleagues.
